Since our own pets are members of our family, we found the traditional service that kennels offered only addressed the physical needs of pets: their emotional and social well-being wasn’t being addressed. We started Bed and Biscuit,with the intention of addressing each individual pet’s own special needs as well as offering a highly personalized service. We also wanted to provide medical expertise to the pets in our care.  For added peace of mind, we have a veterinarian that can provide house calls for medical or routine veterinary care. It's our express commitment to give your dog the same level of care, attention, and respect that we give our own pet.

Eileen

After studying theater at Webster University, Eileen graduated from Midwest Institute for Veterinary Assistants. She began working as a certified veterinary assistant for a local veterinarian in 1996. Eileen has also been pet sitting for 15 years, caring for many of the "special needs".  With her husband,  a local veterinarian, they have two canine children as well as four human children.

Diane

After graduating from Maryville University, Diane entered the business world. Wanting to get out of the corporate environment and pursue her passion for animals, Diane began to study and apprentice with local veterinary hospitals. She focused her skills on grooming and eventually opened a very successful pet grooming business in 1995. She was featured on local television programs profiling her businesses ingenuity and charm. She developed a strong following and even taught grooming at the local colleges. Diane has been pet sitting “on the side” for over 20 years. Diane and her husband together have owned and raised horses for years. Along with her horses, cats, dogs, and free range chickens, Diane has a beautiful little girl who also shares her mother’s passion for animals.
